The University of Central Florida is located on the east side of Orlando, approximately a 20 minute drive from Orlando International Airport. Orlando has the second largest number of hotel rooms in the nation.
Go east on 528 to 417 north. Take 417 North to University Blvd. Exit east onto University Blvd. Continue east on University Blvd. for approximately two miles and it will take you to the main entrance to the campus. Make a right turn at the first light, Gemini Blvd.
Orlando has many transportation options to get you from the Orlando International Airport to the University of Central Florida. If you are staying at a hotel, check with them to find out if there are any free shuttles. A list of contacts for buses, shuttles, and rental cars can be found on the Orlando International Airport website.

Area hotels have been notified of the 2012 Science Olympiad National Tournament. Some are providing discounts to teams and their guests. However, it is possible that cheaper rates may be found online.

UCF has nearly 1000 beds available for reservations in the Libra Community. These are located on campus and are a 5 – 10 minute walk to most event locations, eateries as well as the MarketPlace Cafeteria.
When reserving a bed, please read the directions carefully on the next page and make sure you select beds for each night of your stay. About half of the rooms available include linens.

We are planning a variety of field trips at a discounted rate. These are specialty trips that go beyond the normal places you may find in Orlando. Some of the field trips will take place on the UCF campus and will be free of charge! Others will take you off campus to places that even many locals may not have visited. When planning your field trips – remember that the temperature in Orlando is in the 90′s and sunny. Bring water and sunscreen!
